Activities in Pelion
Pelion is ideal for many activities during the whole year. As a reference spot we consider the endless walking trails, built many years ago, a paradise for hikers. Here, every visitor has the opportunity to enjoy the best of nature.
Many companies operating in Pelion organize excursions, touring in the walking trails with bikes (motor-bikes), with jeep 4x4 and on foot. Particularly well known in Greece, is the four square walk in Tsagarada. Many festivals are organized during the whole year by the cultural associations of Pelion, with great success. From Tsagarada to the other side of Pelion, Portaria, all the paths that were created 100 years ago, by excellent craftsmen, play an important role in the history of this legendary place, even today.
Near the beautiful village of Tsagarada, it is located the open theater of Xourihti, used for numerous cultural events. You can also visit the digital museum of Tsagarada that is open all year round. The ski resort in Hania is very well organized and during the winter it is waiting to overwhelm you with its slopes. During the summer months you can swim in the crystal clear beaches of East Pelion.
